I’ve still got so much to learn at 34 years old.

I’m reminded of this every time I talk to my wife about something that I am going through.

Her ability to point out the things I just simply can’t or don’t see is amazing. Attach that with the empathy and disposition of a saint and I can tell you I certainly married up.

One of the biggest challenges I am going through now is finding the patience to let the people around me fail so that they too may learn and grow from their experiences.

This one is really difficult for me because in a lot of cases the people around us can have an impact on our happiness, money situation or both.

So the idea of letting things run their course is something I’ve never been good at.

I’ve always been the kind of person to boldly stand in opposition because reasons. Naturally.

I’m learning that sometimes it’s best to let people make the choices they want to make, or feel they need to make, hope for the best and be ready to catch them when they fall.

It’s been said that life is like a box of chocolates and that might be true.

But the name on that box,

That’s my choice.
